A memorial service has been held in honour of the late Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, Sir Chijioke Nwakodo, whose demise and burial took place a year ago.
In his speech at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Umuana Ndume, venue of the memorial service, the State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu described his late Chief of Staff a close ally, whose demise created vacuum in his administration.
He appreciated the wife, Mrs. Bisi Nwakodo for playing a good role in ensuring the family is moving well and said that death has failed in its assignment in taking away Sir Chijioke Nwakodo.
Delivering a sermon, Rt Rev Chigozirim Onyegbula who preached on the topic “A legacy of a good name: Chijioke Nwakodo” said that a good name and integrity last for ever.
He challenged all to live lives worthy of emulation like late Sir Chijioke Nwakodo lived, adding that only in Christ Jesus lies a good name.
