GOV. IKPEAZU CALLS FOR SYNERGY WITH NIGERIAN ARMY TO FIGHT INSECURITY
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has called on the Nigerian Army to synergize with his administration in fighting all sorts of insecurity, including armed robbery, banditry, cultism and kidnapping which are gradually raising their ugly heads in Abia state.
The Governor made the call while receiving the new Commander, Nigerian Army 14 Brigade Ohafia, Brigadier General Solomon Babatunde Kumapayi at Government House Umuahia. He urged the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in the State to mount surveillance and nip in the bud the proliferation of small arms around communities sharing common boundaries with the State, informing that Abia is in the concourse of many States in the South East and South South.
