EACH ONE AID ONE FOUNDATION MAKES FIRST BATCH DONATION OF MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO ABIA STATE COVID-19 COMMITTEE, ISOLATION CENTERS, OTHERS

Within the ambit of its efforts to support the State government in containing the spread and fight the deadly Corona Virus (COVID-I9), the Each One Aid One Foundation has donated it’s first batch of medical supplies to the Abia State Committee on COVID-19.

Among the items donated are thousands of Hand sanitizers, cartons of Hand gloves, cartons of face masks, non-touch Thermometers, including the Ambulance, the Foundation’s fully equipped Mobile Clinic, which has been duly handed over to the State Ministry of Health for rapid response to evacuate any suspected case of the virus.

According to the Founder/ President EOAO Foundation, Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor, the donation was borne out of its Corporate Social Responsibility to support the fight against Covid-19 in Abia State.

In his words: “This is much more than a health crisis, the fight is on us all,” he said.

In a statement, the Foundation maintained that the items are for use by the Front line workers and to be distributed among the three isolation centres in the State designated at Federal Medical Centre Umuahia, Amachara General Hospital and Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH) Aba.

The statement disclosed that it would soon embark on systematic distribution of relief items to the general public taking into cognisance their Health and Safety, assuring that the exercise will commence tomorrow 28th March, 2020.

Receiving some of items meant for the Federal Medical Centre Umuahia, in his office, the Medical Director, Dr. Azubuike Onyebuchi, who, described the gesture as amazing said he was deeply touched by such show of charity by the Each One Aid One Foundation.
