ABIA ONLINE JOINS IN SOLIDARITY AS COLLEAGUE’S MUM, BROTHER ARE BURIED

ABIA ONLINE team, lead by its Publisher and Senior Aide to the Governor on New Media and Publicity, Mr. Newman Ubani Thursday joined in solidarity as the remains of Deaconess Charity Nwaobilor Ugorji and Mr. John Ugorji, mother and brother of one of her colleagues, Chidi Ugorji were committed to mother-earth.

In a sermon, the Secretary of The Apostolic Church, Amaorji Area, Pastor D. C. Onyike reminded christians that in spite of the ugly activities that death of loved ones bring to the family, there is hope of resurrection.

Pastor Onyike, who preached on the topic: There is Hope with text taken from Acts 24:15, observed that death creates vacuum in a family and results into loneliness. He maintained that the promise of resurrection and reunion awaits those who lived their lives in righteousness while on earth and urged the family of the bereaved to take consolation in such promises of God.

In a funeral oration by the husband, Elder Matthew Ugorji, described his late wife as mother to the less privileged, widows and the homeless noting that her kitchen served food to everyone who came across it, an attribute he maintained should be emulated by every woman.

Also in a tribute, wife of the late Mr. John Ugorji described her husband as loving, caring and hospitable to both his family, his church and the entire Community.

According to one of his sons, Chidi Ugorji of ABIA ONLINE, his late mother was a counselor and adviser whose instructions if followed produced the expected results. He regretting that she passed on when all she had laboured for was maturing for her to harvest.

They expressed solace in that there late mother and brother lived good christian lives while on earth and hoped for a reunion on the resurrection morning.

Late Deaconess Charity Nwaobilor Ugorji, who died alongside her son, John on December 12, 2020 in a road accident, was a member of The Apostolic Church, Umukalu Ntigha, and served in various capacities in the church including children’s pastor, women group leader as well as church treasurer. She was also a member of the women prayer band.

ABIA ONLINE gathered that late Mrs Ugorji was survived by her husband, seven children, sons and daughters in law, grandchildren, while late John was survived by father, wife, five children and other relatives including Chidi Ugorji of ABIA ONLINE.
