ABIA REMAINS THE SAFEST WITH MOST HOSPITABLE PEOPLE IN NIGERIA, GOV. IKPEAZU

Abia State, Governor Ikpeazu said Abia remains one of the safest states in Nigeria and described Ndi Abia as one of the warmest and most hospitable people in the country.

The Governor made this known while welcoming the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN,
the President of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Paul Usoro, SAN, and Chairman of the NBA Section on Public Interest and Development Law (SPIDEL)
Elder Paul Ananaba, SAN, as well as members of the Bar and Bench to ABA, for the 2019 National Conference of the Section on Public Interest and Development Law (SPIDEL), holding at Addrex Hotels and Suites, Aba.

Dr. Ikpeazu who expressed delight that such an important National Conference where critical issues that affect our national life will be discussed would be held in Abia State, assured the delegates from different parts of the country and beyond that the State Government has put necessary measures in place to ensure that the Conference is held under a very tranquil and safe atmosphere.

The Governor noted that the legal profession and issues of rule of law are taken very seriously in the State which has culminated into the high number of legal practitioners that hold positions in various levels of his government.

He lauded the Chairman of NBA SPIDEL who is an Abia indigene, Elder Dr Paul Ananaba, SAN for ensuring that Aba and indeed, Abia State got the hosting right for this year’s event and wished the delegates a fruitful deliberations as well as urged them to enjoy the best of Aba, the Enyimba City and the ‘SME Power House of Nigeria.’

The National Conference with the theme “Lawyering in the Public Interest” holds in Aba from Wednesday, 6th November to Friday, 8th November, 2019.
