A new Head of Service has been sworn in Abia State Civil Service. He is Sir Onyii Ezenwoke Wamah. Also sworn-in are three new Permanent Secretaries; Jonathan Ebere Alozie, Emma Okechukwu and Juliet Chinyere Orji.
Performing the swearing in ceremony, the State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu admonished them to make tangible contributions to the Civil Service of the State.
The Governor, who described civil service as the engine room of government said, no government can claim any success without the civil service. He expressed hope that with Onyii Wamah’s experience in the service, he would perform well and make the service more effective and functional.
In his acceptance speech, the new Head of the Civil Service, Sir Onyii Wamah thanked the Governor for appointing them and promised to deliver a civil service with efficient and prompt service delivery.
