The Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with an agricultural youth empowerment association, The Concerned Youth Empowerment Association of Nigeria, will on Friday 4th, December 2020 at Evergreen Hotel, Umuahia by 11am, honor some farmers that have contributed in Increased Food Supply and Enhanced Agricutural development of the State.
A release endorsed by the Commissioner, Prof. Ikechi Mgbeoji, identified the categories as, category one: Best Farmers on the following Agric Value Chain (s): Mrs Iheanacho Ifoma V., Prince Clinton Uba, Mr Obasi Robert, Mr Uduma kalu Ukpo, Mrs Ogonnaya Obike, Mr Onwuka Ayim, Lawrence Mark – Pepper Farming; Michael Wogu – Pepper farming; Obinna Stanley – Pineapple farming; Udochi Umeh – Palm oil plantation; Pilgrim Ranch (John Abraham Godson), Dr. Chris Nwagboso and Nnaemeka Obiaraeri.
The Second Category, which is on Agro Processing, has Comrade Chinyere Friday
Best Young Agro – Industrialist , for the year 2020 and Sandra Chibuzo Ananaba as honourees.
The third categor, which is on Promotion and Technical Empowerment, has the following honourees, Comrade Noble Adaelu
Best Promoter / Technical Expert on Agribusiness/Agric Development Initiatives ,for the year 2020
The 4th Category, Best Sponsors Agric Development Activities has Mr. Lucky Nwaogu, Chief Uzoma Ihuka, Ncheta Omerekpe, Dr. Ikechuchukwu Nwabeke, Hon. Dr. Christian Kamalu, Prof. Gregory Ibe, Ike Anyatonwu as well as Hon. Chinenye Nwaogu.
