Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has revealed that Raheem Sterling is doubtful for Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Arsenal .
Sterling missed City’s shock FA Cup 1-0 defeat to Wigan on Monday with a muscle injury.
“He had a problem with muscle.
“He had a problem against Basel. I don’t know if he’s ready for Sunday,” Guardiola said.
Gabriel Jesus is back in full training following his knee injury and Guardiola claims the Brazil striker could make his squad for Sunday.
“Everyone is OK. Gabriel, we’ll see tomorrow. He made a third training session with the team so every day he is better.”
The former Bayern Munich boss also insisted they are over the disappointment of their loss to Wigan, which ended their quadruple hopes and focused on winning their first trophy under him.
“The team is stable, it’s been stable all season.
“The good moments come and there’ll be another one.
“We lost the competition against Wigan and now we are playing a final, so it’s a moment to enjoy and be serious. We know the team we are playing and we will try to win that title,” he added.
