Liverpool ace, Mohamed Salah has stated that he feels ‘great’ to be compared to Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev.
The Egyptian international, who has scored 44 goals in all competitions for the Reds this season, said that he feels proud when people compare him to Ronaldo and Messi.
He, however, insisted that the Champions League final is not between him and Ronaldo.
“I feel great about the numbers,” Salah told BT Sport.
“Everyone is talking about Ronaldo and Messi because they’ve been at that level of 15/13 years so I’m proud to see myself compared to them.
“It’s the final game, it’s not about Salah or Ronaldo, it’s about the clubs.”
Salah added, “I want to make everyone proud, I want to make everyone in the City happy, in Egypt, over the world.
“I just need to think about the game, nothing else, just do my job.”
Meanwhile, Ronaldo had admitted that he simply cannot be compared to Salah.
