The member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole has been commended for his giant strides in Educational development and providing a serene environment for academic learning across the Federal Constituency.
The Abiriba Enachioken-in-council made the commendation in Abiriba when they received their son, and the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon. Uko Nkole who came to flag off his ongoing project for the distibution of the latest Educational and Instructional Materials to the 3 Federal wards of Ameke, Amogudu and Agborji in Abiriba as attracted by him through the Universal Basic Education Commission under the 2020 FGN budget for all public primary schools in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
In his speech, the project sponsor, Hon. Nkole said the gesture was part of the request made by the headteachers during a meeting he held with them in April, 2017 where they listed out the problems militating against the growth of public primary schools across the federal constituency.
Nkole lauded the Educational friendly Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu for accelerating the counterpart funding with the Universal Basic Education Commission that gave rise to the massive construction of modern classroom blocks in Abia State.
Nkole said the distribution of the Educational and Instructional Materials will go round the over 180 public Primary Schools in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency pointing out that education remains the key for Nation’s growth and development.
He urged the Education Secretary, Ohafia Local Government Education Authority, Mr. Martin Okey to ensure the teachers receive adequate trainings and retraining to enable them cope with the challenge and sustain the visions of the Ikpeazu administration vision of a sustained service quality delivery in the education sector as Abia State Under Governor Ikpeazu watch has always come out first in the WAEC results nationwide.
Hon Nkole reiterated his belief in catching them young, hence his determination to provide all the necessary incentives that will increase pupils enrolment and enhance learning.
The Federal Lawmaker further reiterated his commitments and standing order to headteachers to continue his free registration of First School Leaving Certificate Examinations for indigent pupils in the Constituency.
In their separate speeches, Eze Ukiwo Otisi on behalf of the Enachioken in-council eulogised the tremendous efforts of the federal lawmaker for the noble feat and described him as an examplary leader whose lasting legacies will remain evergreen in the minds of the constituents and enjoined other political office holders to emulate his styles of leadership and quality representation.
“Our son, Hon. Nkole, we are always proud of you and happy to receive these modern Educational and Instructional Materials for our public primary schools. This is not the first time of donating such items for our community, therefore, we thank you for your thoughtfulness and deep concerns for the Development of Abiriba community.”
The Enachioken in-council promised to protect and secure the items and ensure its judicious use for the maximum benefits of her pupils.
The Headteachers of the benefiting schools, including Mrs. Ndukwe Betsy Jonah of Egwuena Model School, Ameke ward Abiriba, Mrs. Kalu Florence Ojiji of Agborji Community School, Abiriba and John Oyediya of Abiriba Central School who were overwhelmed with joy expressed appreciation to the Lawmaker for placing priority on the child’s education which they described as first of its kind.
They prayed God to continue to sustain him and take him to a more lofty heights.
Performing the cutting of tape to signify the flag off the Educational and Instructional Materials at Abiriba Central School, the Abia State Peoples Democratic Party Organising Secretary, Elder Victor Ebere said he is gladdened by the achievements of Hon. Uko Nkole within his 5 years in office as a Federal Lawmaker adding that his effective representation which reverberates across the State should be emulated by other political office holders and not to abandon all responsibilities on the doorstep of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

Similarly, the Headmistress of Ndi Agbo Community School, Nkporo, Mrs. Imo Ogbonne Eleanya, has acknowledged receipt of the following academic materials donated by Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole in his ongoing Distribution of modern Educational and Instructional Materials to over 180 public primary schools in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency which he attracted through the Universal Basic Education Commission UBEC, they are:Set of Yamaha Parade band, Modern Desks and Chairs, White board, Mathematical Sets as well as National Value textbooks and Exercise books.
