On the heals of construction of First Bank/Early Learning Road also known as Nelson Humuka Road in Abayi Amaugwu Autonomous Community in Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Sir Enyinnaya Nwafor[Engr.] has donated a 630kva Transformer to the community while promising human capacity building to the youths of the community.
Handing over the 630kva Transformer, Engr. Nwafor recalled he made the promise to donate the Transformer before the end of January 2021 when the community visited him in December 2020 complaining that they have not had light for many years.
He disclosed that his company’s shoe Factory will soon commence operation, assuring that he will partner youths who are into shoe making in Ariaria International Market and other places in the city to drive the economic development of the young people stating that “we must empower our people.”
According to him, real wealth is that wealth which one’s next door neighbor will feel the impact adding that: “if we don’t empower our people, this world would not be a better place for us to live.”
He enjoined the youths of the area to organize themselves and identify whatever business they do promising to empower them.
Enyinnaya Nwafor while noting that everybody would not be empowered at the same time, harped on the need to start somewhere and urged them to appoint someone who will be a point of contact between him and the people of the community.
Responding, Chief Samuel Nwabughiogu who said the community was overwhelmed by the surprised package, thanked Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor for his kind benevolence and promised, behalf of the community to ensure the judicious utilization of the transformer.
Also speaking in an interview with ABIA ONLINE, an indigine of the community, Mr. David Chukwukadibia Young Acho, who recounted other philanthropic gestures of Engr. Nwafor, including the construction of First Bank/Early Learning (Nelson Humuka) Road, in Abayi Amaugwu Autonomous Community, described the philanthropist as a blessing not only to his community but Abia State at large.
Highlight of the event was a collective prayer made to God for more blessings upon Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor while they wished him well in his feature endeavours.
