EXCLUSIVE: MRS. IKPEAZU PROMISES TO BUILD HOUSE FOR A WIDOW

The Wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu has promised to build a house for a widow, Mrs. Patience Arungwa, whose husband died twenty years ago, leaving her with five children.
She made the promise at the Seventh Day Adventist, Mgoko-Umocha in Obingwa Local Government Area, during the dedication and thanksgiving service of little Master Newman Onyenmeri Nrwman Jr., son of Mr. & Mrs Ubani Newman Ubani, a Senior Special Assistant to the Abia Governor on New Media.
Mrs. Ikpeazu, represented by Chief Barr. (Mrs) Nnenna Obewu, Director General Abia Women Mobilization Scheme, said her decision to help Mrs. Patience Arungwa is in line with her mission to help the indigent Abia women to have a sense of belonging and as well as live in a joyful and comfortable home.
The Wife of the Governor commended the Governor’s media aide who she said has distinguished himself in propagating the good image of Abia State government. She informed that the impact already made by Mr. Ubani will remain indelible in the sands of time as he uses the wonders of the new media and internet to project the image of the Okezie Ikpeazu led administration.
Mrs. Ikpeazu charged Mr. Ubani and the wife to ensure they train the child is the way of the Lord, stressing that God demands parents to take proper care of their children and expressed confidence that the couple would groom the child in the fear of God.
Preaching during the dedication, Pastor I. C. Egbu called on parents to train their children in the right direction. He said that child training is the utmost responsibility of parents.
The man of God also urged parents to imbibe the spirit of love and unity and introduce same to their children. He said Inculcating love and unity among children would create a better society.
In a vote of thanks, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media and father of the child, Mr. Newman Ubani thanked the Wife of the Governor and all the women who accompanied her for coming to share such a special moment with him and his entire family.
He vowed on behalf of the wife, to take proper care of the child.
Mr. Ubani also thanked the Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for given him the opportunity to serve in his administration and pledged to remain resolute and result-oriented in discharging his duties.
The event attracted many dignitaries from all walks of life.
