EXECUTIVE SUMMON: VICAR HOPE FOUNDATION SICKLE CELL DIAGNOSIS CENTRE NOW FULLY OPERATIONAL – Poised and equipped to meet the Health demands of Abians.

By Ubani Newman Ubani
Deeply sunk into my own visionary terms while deflecting a ‘critical lapse’ into some specific concept which the philosophy of art considers ‘artworks and the questions concerning their conceptualization’, I realized how one single event, an “Executive Summon”, can put on hold one’s specifically conceptualized subject matters… A story for another day.
The above scenario occurred when, the First Lady, the wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu summoned me to come see her at the newly completed and commissioned Sickle Cell Diagnosis Center, Umuahia yesterday afternoon.
On getting there I had a better view of the center than I had on the day it was commissioned, probably because of the mammoth crowd that graced the occasion. Activities have fully started, I saw the doctors and nurses moving up and down discharging their duties, then the picture of how much effort the wife of the Governor, through her Vicar Hope Foundation, has invested in interventions spanning across Healthcare, Indigent Housing, Social Reorientation, Education, Empowerment and overall Welfare of the citizenry fill my mind – may the Almighty God reward her abundantly.
Mrs. Ikpeazu having passionately realized the detrimental health challenges posed by Sickle Cell Diseases (SCD) in our contemporary society, exacerbated by lack of initial information on the health challenges, leaving a larger chunk of the populace in the dark about the scourge, has therefore identified the ailment as a significant public health burden to many household, hence the establishment of the Sickle Cell Diagnosis Centre equipped with adequate specialized health facilities to manage it.
It is against this backdrop that the Abia general public is hereby informed that the centre is open and fully operational for the public to bring their relatives and loved ones who are suffering from Sickle Cell anemia for treatment and counselling.
Worthy to note also is that the center is consist of a well equipped laboratory capable of exercising most medically related diagnosis.
Wednesdays are for counseling while the rest of the week’s working days are for other medical quality service delivery.
Abians, let’s leveraged on this God given opportunity to render succour to our loved ones who are suffering from Sickle Cell anemia.
The center is situated at #183 Ndume Otuka Bypass, opposite New Secretariat Umuahia, Abia state. You can also call via 0903 817 7395 / 0808 192 1217 or send e-Mail to vicarhopefoundation@gmail.com and even visit www.vicarhopefoundation.org for more information.
