EZE ENWEREMADU COMMENDS IKPEAZU’S ADMINISTRATION, SUES FOR PEACE AMONG ABIA PEOPLE.

The Eze-Ukwu of Ngwa-Ukwu and traditional head of Ngwa land, Eze Bernard Enweremadu has commended the administrative ingenuity of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu saying that he has performed creditably

The foremost royal father was speaking in his palace at Ngwa-Ukwu, Isiangwa North LGA. He noted that though leadership is not easy, the Governor was doing his best, adding that no single public office holder could do everything for his people. He said Governor Ikpeazu is a proud son of Ngwaland who is putting solid infrastructural development in place for State and called on the media to be in the vanguard of publicising the achievements of the Governor.

The Eze-Ukwu of Ngwa-Ukwu used the opportunity sue for peace and love among Abia people “peace is a necessity and it is love that leads to peace. Abia people should love one another. Abia is made up of Ukwa/Ngwa and Old Bende.” He recalled how charter of equity was scripted to ensure equitable distribution of political power among the people.

On the issue of relationship between the Governor and traditional rulers in the State, the former Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers made a case for government to continue to assist the traditional rulers in ensuring security in the rural communities adding that “Governor Ikpeazu respects me as a father, though he is not the one that started it.” He stressed that good cooperation among traditional rulers and government promotes security. He commended former Governor T. A Orji for obeying charter of equity by handing over power to an Ngwa man.

According to him, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has done well in the distribution of democracy dividends in all parts of the State and described the Governor as a good and kind-hearted leader.

Eze-Ukwu, who described the Governor as a good leader and proud son of Ngwaland who is putting solid infrastructural development in place for the good of the State, called for more support for the Governor in taking Abia to a greater height and advised Abia people and residents to always embrace peace and be their brothers keepers. He used the forum to thank God for saving the Governor from the Covid-19 infection.
