The Federal Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Alhaji Babatunde Fashola has commended Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for contributing greatly in the promotion of locally made goods.
The Minister was speaking at Aba during his working visit to Abia State. He lauded the infrastructural strides of Dr. Ikpeazu, which he said is assisting in economic development of Nigeria.
According to the Minister, it is the partnership of the Federal government and Abia State government, instigated by Governor Ikpeazu’s intense campaign for “Made-in-Aba” patronage, that brought about the installation and distribution of electricity in Ariaria international market, disclosing that so far, about 37,000 shops in Ariaria will benefit from the power for the first phase while the second phase will be built to cover about 50,000 shops.
Fashola also inspected the ongoing Osisioma interchange being built by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and the federal government housing estate in Obingwa LGA.
