Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has sworn-in four new Permanent Secretaries with a charge for them to cooperate with the present administration to take Abia State to greater heights.
Addressing the new Permanent Secretaries at the Executive Chambers of the Government House, Umuahia, the Governor said he requires the services of the civil servants to drive the economy of the State, noting that the State is not doing well in Internally Generated Revenue.
He urged them to see themselves as part and parcel of government, warning that the time to sit on the fence and blaming games are now over.
Dr. Ikpeazu, who expressed confidence that they would comply to the service rules congratulated them on their appointments.
In a vote of thanks on behalf of others, one of the newly sworn-in Permanent Secretaries, Mr. Kingsley Ogbaa Nwokoro appreciated the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for giving them the opportunity to come to the apex of their careers.
He vowed they will be fully involved I the developmental agenda of the State Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu.
The newly sworn-in Permanent Secretaries included; Kingsley Ogbaa Nwokoro, Chigozie Chinedu Chimaraoke, Ann Umah and Henry Nwachukwu.
