GOD IS THE REWARDER OF SELFLESS SERVICES – Deaconess Achumba

 
The Honourable Commissioner for Vulnerable and Special Duties, Deaconess Precious Achumba, has expressed her happiness and gratitude to the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, for creating the ministry.
The Commissioner said this while receiving the President of The Nigeria Association for Exceptional Children(NAEC), Prof. Micheal SK along side his Executives, who paid her a courtesy visit following their forth coming conference.
In her words, “It pays to serve the poor and needy, it pays to serve humanity, as God is the rewarder of such selfless services. I was happy when the Governor, Dr.Okezie Victor Ikpeazu brought about the existence of this ministry…”

She reinstated her commitment to ensuring all vulnerable people are reached out to and carried along, while promising to assist the association in any possible way toward the success of the conference.
Deaconess Achumba, who harped on the need for the NAEC officials to reach out to the commissioner for education, and the commissioner for sports, noted the importance of a collective effort.
Earlier, NAEC President, Prof. Micheal SK, who was in company of Mrs Sunshine Amajo, Rev. Alocha, Mrs Ikoro Ruth and Pastor Don Mgbaahuruike, appreciated the Commissioner for her selfless service to humanity. He emphasized on the way she pilots the affairs of the ministry, especially towards the exceptional people(the vulnerable), and proposed that the Nigeria Association for Exceptional Children (NAEC) will Honour her with an Award he referred to as “The Fellowship Award”.
He informed the association is a non for profit association, fighting for the right of people with special needs, while stating the different challenges the association is facing, which includes assistance from the Government in accommodation for the executives, transportation and a venue for the opening ceremony of the forthcoming conference of the NAEC.
