Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has expressed appreciation to the Christian Community in Abia State for their prayerful support for his administration.
Dr. Ikpeazu was the Special Guest at the Synod Thanksgiving Service of the Anglican Diocese of Aba Ngwa North held at St Gabriel’s Anglican Church Umuode, Osisioma Ngwa LGA congratulated the Diocese on a successful Synod.
He assured that he will remain focused in the discharge of his responsibilities as Governor to the best of his ability.
Speaking on the theme of the Synod, “We Are But Dust,” the Governor reiterated the need for people to remain humble and put their trust in God considering the fact that as human beings, “we are nothing more than dust and if not for the grace of God, we all can do nothing.”
The Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Aba Ngwa North, Rt Rev Nathan Kanu thanked the Governor for honoring the Diocese on his birthday and assured him of the prayers of the church.
Prayers were said for the Governor by the Anglican Bishop of Evoh Diocese in Rivers State, Rt. Rev Chidozie Orduh attended by the Bishop of Mbaise, Rt. Rev Chamberlain Ogunedo, Bishop of Egbu Diocese, Rt Rev Geoffery Okoroafor while the Guest Preacher was the Bishop of Kwoi Diocese in Kaduna State, the Rt. Rev Paul Zamani.
Member representing Osisioma South at the State Assembly, Hon. Nnamdi Allen Nwachukwu, Honorable Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperatives, Prince Ezekwesiri Ananaba and the Transition Chairman of Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Dr. Ikechukwu Nwabeke were amongst officials of the Abia State Government who were at the service.
