The Chairman, Board of Directors, Tunnel End Investment Company Ltd, and FOUNDER, Each One Aid One Foundation, Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor has said that only God could determine the extent to which he would take his charity work.
Nwafor, who disclosed this recently in an exclusive interview with ABIA ONLINE, declared he would not hasitate to sell everything he has and give same to the Foundation if God gave such institutions.
Hear him, “By the special grace of God, I’m the Chairman, Board of Directors of Tunnel End Investment Comp. Ltd and also Rock Water, if you ask me for my plans for these companies for the next four, five, six years, I can tell you, see what my dreams are.
But you see, business is entirely very different from Foundation; Foundation is about charity work, sacrifice and I, to be frank with you, don’t have any contributions for the work, it is as God directs.
“If tomorrow I sleep, wake up and I’m being inspired by God, ‘Young man, I am the giver of this comfort, you need to sell everything you have and give to the Foundation,’ I will be glad to do it.That’s my take, that’s my passion. I know God knows my heart, so I’m being inspired by him. I don’t have any personal input (plan) for the Foundation, it is as God directs.”
He opined that charity, like God has no particular face and as such should be carried out anytime, any day, anywhere not withstanding whether the person is Muslim or Christian or whether he is Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba. He note that all that matters was for one to share one’s level of comfort to anybody around.
“When they come across your way, you give hope, you give care, you give them a level of comfort, that’s just that, it’s unlimited. You don’t have any body in mind as they come, you give the hope.”
Speaking the next level of activities for the EACH ONE AID ONE FOUNDATION, Engr. Nwafor revealed that the phase two of the Free Medical Outreach would be to cover the remaining eight Local Government Areas in Abia State, having carried out the same Outreach in nine LGAs in old Aba Zone.
He maintained that the Foundation has procured a brand new ambulance to be use in the next phase so to meet up with some emergency cases insisting that “It is going to be something very wonderful to the glory of God.”
According to him, the idea was to reach the entire Abians with Medical treatment especially for the rural dwellers and plan on how to move beyond the State saying that, alms giving has been where his passion lies.
Away from the Foundation, Engr Nwafor has identified the fear of God as the the basis for good leadership noting that, “No matter how good you may think you are, no matter how intelligent you may think you are, if don’t have God in your life, if you’re not God fearing, you can never show some level of sacrifice that is in leadership.”
He was of the opinion that with God in the life of any leader, “The issue of playing pranks, the issue of lying, the issue of greed, those things that don’t give God the glory, playing to the gallery, people praising you,” would not be acceptable instead ‘when you are God fearing, you see things fall in place,” he maintained.
The father of a handsome very Son and Four beautiful daughters who described himself as ‘a lover of God and a child who has asked His father for mercy,’ added that, “We are not perfect, we have our shortcomings and it is only when you realize and accept that you are not perfect that you can ask God for mercy and help.”
