Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has paid a private visit to the Country Home of the PDP National Organizing Secretary, Col. Austin Akobundu (Rtd) at Ahaba Oloko, Ikwuano LGA.
The Governor who used the opportunity to thank the people of Ikwuano for supporting his administration and the PDP, assured them of his commitment towards improving the lot of the people.
He thanked Ikwuano people for the gift of Col. Akobundu to our State and country.
Col Akobundu was also a former Minister of State for Defence under the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
Some sons of Ikwuano LGA including the Member representing Ikwuano Umuahia Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Sam Onuigbo, Member representing Ikwuano at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Stanley Nwabuisi, Transition Committee Chairman of Ikwuano LGA, Barrister Stanley Ojigbo and a former Commissioner for Industries in the State, Chief Henry Ikoh were amongst those that received the Governor during the visit.
