The Each One Aid One Foundation continues their distribution of food items for junior workers of Local Government Service in Abia State, Tuesday with the visit to six more Local Government Councils.
The gesture is part of the Foundation’s policy thrust of helping the lower cadre of the society to enable them celebrate this period with joy and happiness as with others.
Speaking to ABIA ONLINE on the essence of the distribution, the Project Coordinator of the Foundation, Prince Abu said the Foundation’s Chairman, Engr. Sir Nwafor Enyinnaya, as a policy feels sad seeing people suffer or being in want hence the idea to look the other way.
According to him, many people neglect the junior workers, not knowing the fact that they equally need as much help as they could get
considering the fact that they receive the lowest of salary on monthly basis with the same level of dependent relatives, buying from the same market as with those who receive a larger amount as monthly pay.
Prince Abu charged the Local Government Areas to ensure that the food items were distributed directly to those they are meant for, that is, junior workers ranging from levels 1-6 as that would give the Foundation a sense of fulfilment.
ABIA ONLINE gathered that Items distributed include: bags of rice, beans, vegetable oil, bags of stockfish, cartons of tomato, bags of onions while the Local Government Areas visited are: Umunneochi, Isiala Ngwa South, Isiala Ngwa North, Ukwa East, Ukwa West and Obingwa.
