He Attributed the ranking of the State by NBS to prudent management of funds, harnessing of Internal Generated Revenue and conducive environment which Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration has provided to enable revenue officers to achieve in that direction.
“There’s a difference between an educated administrator and the one that has no experience, you can find the difference, the reason why Abia State was so ranked given everything including the federation account which is very low than other States, the governor prudently managed the allocation.
The reason again is that he has been able to harness the Internally Generated Revenue given a conducive environment of all revenue agents to harness the Internally Generated Revenue of Abia State which are judiciously deployed.
“Another reason is that the governor has able lieutenants who manage funds, grants and other finance that come into the State are deployed into judicious use, even the money that came in through the Paris Refund was put into use for the purposes for which they were disbursed.
He, however, advised critics of the State government to crosscheck their facts before portraying the State in bad light saying that they should be patient with Ikpeazu as he
was working round the clock in spite of the lean resources available to further improve the standard of the State.
