The Government of Abia State has stressed the need for love to reign supreme to enable the society have united families. The commissioner for special duties and the vulnerable, Mrs. Precious Achumba stated this while receiving the returnees from Libya who were victims of slave trade in the Northern African Country.
The commissioner maintained that the family forms the nucleus of the society and iterated the need for parents to train their children with love and care to enable the families stick together as one. She noted that the Governor was worried that some Abians were victims of such ugly incident hence mandated the commission to see to the welfare of the returnees.

While receiving them, the special adviser to the Abia State Governor on diaspora matters, Barr. Vivian Iro-Chima assured them of Governor’s interest on their wellbeing. Also in attendance during the meeting was Mr. Innocent Obinna Nwazuo Special Assistant to the Governor on Grassroot Mobilization.
