Salah wins CAF African Footballer of the Year ahead of Mane, Aubameyang

Egypt winger, Mohammed Salah, has been named CAF Footballer of the Year.
Salah was announced as winner of the prize, ahead of his Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane and Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at an exclusive ceremony in Accra, Ghana on Thursday night.
He played an important role at both the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, as Egypt reached the final and in qualification for their first World Cup since 1990.
Salah is also the Premier League’s second top scorer after netting 17 goals.
This win means Salah has won the two biggest personal accolades for African footballers, the BBC Player of the Year and the CAF Player of the Year in the space of a few weeks.
