Senator Mao Ohuabunwa’s Mother Laid to Rest

The remains of Madam Matilda Ohuabunwa, the mother of the Senator representing Abia North Zone, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa has been laid to rest in her hometown, Atani Arochukwu LGA.

Speaking at the burial ceremony, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu condoled with the Ohuabunwa family, urging them to take heart as death of a mother is too difficult to bear.
Governor Ikpeazu further thanked God for a life well lived, saying that his relationship with the children proved that the woman did well in training her children in the way of the Lord.
The Governor appreciated the Senate President, other members of the National Assembly and dignitaries from all works of life for identifying with the Senator.
In a tribute, the Senator representing Abia North in the National Assembly thanked the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, the Senate president and his colleagues, dignitaries from all works of life for coming to condole with them.
Senator Ohuabunwa described the mother as a very good woman and virtuous woman, who did well in training them in fear of the Lord, adding that they would miss her.
Madam Matilda was aged 90 years.
