SUPPOSEDLY “ON LEAVE” GOVERNOR IKPEAZU SPOTTED IN THE US MARKETING ABIA STATE AND WOOING INVESTORS…

The Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has used the opportunity of his 14 working days leave to visit the United States of America to market his State, woo investors and tell Abians in diaspora that it is their right to know his achievements in the State.

Dr. Ikpeazu, who was addressing Ndi Abia in Washington DC and Maryland in America said “I’m not here for campaign, I have not come to ask for your votes, I’m here to report to you, because as Ndi Abia living here in America, it is your right to know what we are doing at home…”.
According to the Governor, since he resumed office in 2015, he made it a point of duty to always return to Ndi Abia on quarterly basis to report and brief them on how far his administration has gone. He said, among other things, he informs Abia people about progress made and challenges, the things done, things that are being done and those planned to do, maintaining that, “we do this regularly at home through various radio programs, and various town-hall meetings with our people at various local government areas and at other fora…”
In another event, the Governor also attended the US Nigeria Investment Summit captioned “NIGERIA IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS” held at the Nigerian embassy US.
I gathered that Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu made strong presentation of what he has been dong in Abia State based on his five points Agenda.
With him also were other delegates from Abia and Nigeria at large, particularly, Mr. Darlington Uzuh who respectively made a presentation of the ENYIMBA Industrial Cluster to the eyes of the whole world.
The peak of the event was marked by an interactive section where the Governor was said to have responded very intelligently to all the questions threw at him by other attendees including the members of IPOP in diaspora.
Recall that the Governor just embarked on 14 working days vacation and would soon be back to continue his giant strides in Abia State.
SUPPORT A GOVERNOR AT WORK.
