TRADERS EXPRESS EXCITEMENT AS EACH ONE AID ONE FOUNDATION CONTINUES BUSINESS SUPPORT FOR THEM IN ABIA MARKETS

It was all excitement, dancing and pouring of encomiums as Each One Aid One Foundation continues their distribution of cash gifts and umbrellas to petty traders in selected markets in Abia State.

ABIA ONLINE gathered that on the day 2 of the distribution, many more petty traders in selected markets received cash gifts to enable them scale up their trades while some others got umbrellas from the Foundation.

The Foundation said it is targeting that over 2000 petty traders across 26 markets would be reached with either cash or umbrella and in many cases both under her Business Support Project.

It said that the gesture was to cushion the effects of Covid-19 lockdown and its attendant loses on the traders, who have lost confidence of cash during the period.

The team, in two separate groups visited such markets as: Afule, Ariaria Free Zone, Uratta Junction Market, Orie Ntigha, Umuojima Ogbu Street Market, among others while over five hundred traders were reached.

Some of the traders who spoke to ABIA ONLINE in an interview expressed excitement and joy at the kind gesture of Engr. Sir. Enyinnaya Nwafor, noting that the gift was timely as we enter into the peak of the dry season with the sun at its high level.

Some of them were particularly happy because over the course of time, they have not been able to make enough gain to stock up talk more of spending on an umbrella.

Petty traders in these Markets who spoke to ABIA ONLINE include: Mrs Blessing Ogu, Madam Joy Ewa (taste and see in Afule Market), Mrs Angelina Emeribe, Mr. Ifeanyi Chima, Chibuike Nwaogwugwu, Ms Okpara Gladys Adaora.

Our correspondent reports that the distribution will continue tomorrow in selected markets in Umuahia.
