It was a gathering of who is who in Ukwa/Ngwa nation as the people rolled their drums to appreciate the immediate past Governor of the State, Chief T.A Orji in a programme tagged Grand Thank-You Reception in Honour of Senator T. A Orji.
Speaking at the event held at Ngwa High school, the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu stressed the need for people to show gratitude over good things done to them.
He said the Ukwa/Ngwa people did well to host Senator T. A. Orji who handed over power to an Ngwa man and said they would continue to work with him.
Also speaking the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chikwendu Kalu, Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia at the National Assembly, Chief Sam Onuigbo among other speakers thanked Senator T. A. Orji and endorsed him for a second tenure on behalf of the Abia Central zone.
In his address, the Chairman of the occasion, Elder (Dr.) Emma Adaelu disclosed that they organized the event to honour and thank Senator T. A Orji for assisting the Ukwa/Ngwa people to produce Governor in 2015.
Responding to the celebrant, Chief T. A. Orji appreciated the people for celebrating him. He said that his decision to ensure that power shifts to the Ukwa/Ngwa extraction was based on Abia charter of equity.

The event which attracted the Deputy Governor, many Senators, House of Representstive members and other dignitaries also featured conferment of chieftaincy title of OMEZIRIMBA 1 on Senator T.A Orji.
