It was celebration galore and feeling of accomplishment as staff of the Deputy Governor’s office, Government House, Umuahia, felicitated with their beloved boss and the deputy governor, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu on the last governorship election victory in the state.
Speaking during the staff solidarity visit to deputy governor in his office, the Director of Administrator, office of the deputy governor, Mr Iyke Ogbonna who speak on behalf of the staff of the deputy governor’s said that they came to congratulate and felicitate with the state No two man on the renewal of Ikpeazu/Oko Chukwu’s mandate by Abians.
Mr Ogbonna said that the Ikpeazu/Oko Chukwu victory was in appreciation of the good works they are doing and to urge them not to relent in writing their names in gold as the best in terms of good governance not only in the state but the nation as a whole.
Mr Ogbonna pledged their unalloyed loyalty and dedication of the staff to the ideals and visions of the governor and in the deputy governor’s relationship and partnership with the governor in giving the state the best in terms of good governance.
Responding, Sir Oko Chukwu assured them that the present administration would continue to carry everyone along to ensure that good governance was enthroned in the state.
Sir Oko Chukwu further stated that the government has mapped out lofty ideas for the benefit of the people and cited especially the actualization of the Enyimba Economic City, geared towards addressing unemployment issue in the state and beyond.
He used the forum to appreciated his staff for their support, commitment and demonstration of love towards the Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu led administration and especially their prayers, mobilization and awareness created that led to their emerging victorious during the last general elections in the state and assured that they would not disappoint the trust and confidence bestowed on them by Abians.
Sir Oko Chukwu called for more commitment, hard work and prayers from them to ensure an improvement in the economy assuring that they are prepared to deliver on their mandate to the people and reassured workers in the state of prompt payment of salaries in line with their covenant and vision for a better workforce in the state.
