World Bank assisted Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO) visits Abia

The World Bank assisted Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO) team visited Abia State yesterday to discuss our participation in the project. TheGovernor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu in an effort to ensure that Abia State benefits from this programme had appointed Endi Ezengwa as the focal person to birth this project in the State. Funding from YESSO will support the Governor’s vision to train and empower Abia youths that is currently being delivered through his Education for Employment (E4E) programme. The State Operations Coordinating Unit (SOCU) of YESSO will be domiciled in the Abia State Planning Commission. SOCU will be responsible for generating the Single Social Register of Poor and Vulnerable Households in the State. YESSO interventions will be implemented through The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) which will be domiciled with Abia State Education for Employment (E4E) Programme. We commend the Governor for his persistence in ensuring that Abians benefit from this programme.
