Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has promised to renovate dilapidated court rooms in Abia State.
Dr. Ikpeazu made this public during a courtesy call by the Magistrates Association of Nigeria, Abia State Branch.
According to him, the administration would in the coming months, focus on renovation of schools and court rooms in the State, stressing that by the end of the year, there would be no dilapidated court rooms in the State.
He told the Association that he will provide a bus for it, promising that government will look into the issue of their allowances.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation and Chief Registrar, Mrs. Elizabeth Chukwu thanked the Governor for implementing the special salary scale for the Magistrates and described Dr. Ikpeazu as a judiciary friendly Governor as well as assured him of their support to his administration.
She drew the attention of the Governor to some of the challenges faced by the Magistrates in the cause of carrying-out their duties, including housing and mobility and pleaded with the Governor to assist them.
