BREAKING: HOODLUMS SET POLICE STATION ON FIRE IN ABA, KILL 2 OFFICERS

Some suspected hoodlums have attacked Abayi police station located at the World Bank Housing Estate in Aba, the commercial nerve centre of Abia state, killing two police officers.

ABIA ONLINE gathered that the hoodlums stormed the station at about 2:30 am, Tuesday morning while the names of officers allegedly killed during the attack were given as SGT Emmanuel and ASP Vincent.

It was also gathered that the situation has created more panic in the area, as everyone including police officers are now working in fear.

Reports say the station and some patrol vehicles was also set on fire by the hoodlums despite stiff opposition by officers of the NPF but were however overpowered by the hoodlums.

The division’s armoury was said to have been looted while many vehicles were also burnt.

Attack on police facilities and officers in Abia State has become a recurrent decimal in recent times.
