I LOOK FORWARD TO A NEW NIGERIA UNDER A PDP PRESIDENCY – Gov Ikpeazu

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has affirmed his commitment to the sincere effort to find a consensus PDP Presidential Candidate who will rescue the country from its current insecurity crisis.

The Abia governor gave the assurance while speaking to the press at his Umuobiakwa Country Home after a closed-door meeting with some Presidential hopefuls and other stakeholders under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party.

Notable dignitaries at the meeting were the Governor of Sokoto State, Rt Hon Aminu Tambuwal, Senator Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, a former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and Dr Mohammed Hayatudeen.

The former Senate President and current PDP Presidential contender Dr Bukola Saraki, stated that the party’s mission is finding a consensus Presidential candidate who could solve the current insecurity in the country.

He emphasized that the PDP is motivated by a desire to turn the country around and expressed confidence that the Party would win the upcoming general elections.

Gov Ikpeazu praised the move as admirable, patriotic, and motivated by a desire to form an alliance that could save the country from vested interests.

The Governor stated that this hope for the emergence of a new Nigeria under the PDP has been reignited as a result of the visit.

He therefore, urged all Presidential candidates running on the PDP platform, regardless of locality, to unite for the common good of the Nigerian people.

When asked why former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was not on the trip, Senator Saraki responded by saying, “he is fully part of this mission and receives full briefings about the mission.”

The Honorable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Rt. Hon Christopher Enweremadu, and an industrialist, Elder Raymond Aliga, joined the Governor in welcoming the delegation.
