Livelihood Improvement and Family Enterprises, Niger Delta (LIFE-ND), a progamme of the FGN/NDDC/IFAD has reached an agreement with the leading online platform in Abia State, ABIA ONLINE for a mutual working relationship and cooperation and to ensure that activities of the Agency are given wide coverage and propagation.
This was the outcome of a meeting between the Abia State Project Coordinator of LIFE-ND, Dr. Uchenna Rowland Onyeizu and Founder and Publisher, ABIA ONLINE Mr. Ubani Newman Ubani in his office in Umuahia.
Dr. Onyizu commended ABIA ONLINE for its prompt reportage of events and its wide coverage and expressed the hope that, with the partnership, all activities of the Agency would be given adequate coverage.
Earlier, Mr. Ubani congratulated Dr. ONYEIZU on his emergence as the State Coordinator of LIFE-ND and called for a media working relationship with the Agency.
LIFE-ND, is a project conceived by the Federal Government of Nigeria to address the issues of poverty, unemployment and underemployment amongst women and youths in the rural areas of the nine States in the Niger Delta of Nigeria.
The project development objective is to enhance income, food security and job creation for rural youth and women through agro-enterprise development on a sustainable basis in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. The project directly supports Nigeria’s agricultural policy and strategic framework for youth employment & job creation.
Some officers of the Agency including Logistics Officer, Mr. Wisdom Ukonu, as well as the Editor, ABIA ONLINE, Imeremba Michael Imeremba with the ABIA ONLINE Photo Manager, Mr. Chidi Ugorji, were present at the meeting.
