Chief Chibuzor Ngwakwe of Agburuike Isiugwu, Obingwa LGA has been presented to the Chairman, Obingwa LGA as the Eze elect of Mgboko Itungwa autonomous Community by the Community.

At the ceremony which took place at Mgboko, the headquarters of Obingwa LGA, the executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Michael Ibe Nwoke, commended the people for the peaceful manner in which they selected their Eze-Elect assuring that he would forward their choice to the Governor for the actual presentation of staff of office.

Hon. Nwoke charged the traditional institution to help Government maintain the peace in their domain noting that the importance of the the traditional institution cannot be over stressed.

Earlier in their address read by Chief Okezie Atubi, the Mgboko Itungwa Autonomous Community expressed their overwhelming happiness that Chief Chibuzo Ngwakwe accepted the responsibility of the Ezeship of Mgboko Itungwa Autonomous Community the bearer of Ofo Ala of Mgboko Itungwa Ancient Kingdom.

They listed some of his contributions to the community as well as identified his goals to include: committing his Ezeship to ensuring peace and unity in the community, creating new and better opportunities for the youths, not only in our community but in Abia State, enhancing economic opportunities and empowerment program for all, promoting the culture and traditional values of the people and to address the poor health situation in their communities and to bring his leadership experience to the growth of the communities.

Chief Atubi used the opportunity to thank the Council Chairman, Hon. Ibe Nwoke for the new developments he has brought to the Council describing such as new and innovative leadership.

In his acceptance speech, the Eze-Elect, Chief Chibuzor Ogwu Ngwakwe, who noted that his love for his people is a old as his age on earth stated that he would use his ezeship stool to bring more development to the people of Agburuike Isiugwu, his Mgboko Itungwa Community and Obingwa LGA in general.

Ngwakwe, who doubles as the National President of Abia State Association Worldwide pledged his total loyalty to the administration of Governor Okezie lkpeazu and likened his loyalty to the progress of the State as the love he has for Agburuike his Community.

While applauding the Chairman for the solid foundation he has started to lay as the Chairman, Chief Ngwakwe enjoined him not to relent but to strive to be the benchmark for future young leaders in the LGA, State and country as a whole.

He equally pledged his absolute loyalty and support to the administration of Hon. Michael Ibe Nwoke assuring his people that his reign will bring about progress and total good of the people.

ABIA ONLINE reports that the event which featured ceremonial handover of Chief Chibuzo Ngwakwe to the Chairman for onward presentation to the Governor, was graced by many dignitaries including the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media and Publicity, Mr. Ubani Newman Ubani, Deputy Chairman of Obingwa, Mrs. Uloma Nwogu.
Head of Service, Mr. Ogelle, SECLOG of Obingwa, Amb. Bestman Eruba, ABSIEC Commission Hon. Kachi Dinneya,, Head of Service of the LGA, Barr. Chukwuemeka Ogele, as well the councillors, aides to the Chairman amongst other government officials.
