NKOLE FEELS SATISFIED WITH PROGRESS OF WORK ON OHAFIA WATER PROJECT (See photos)

The member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole has expressed satisfaction with the contractor handling the Ohafia Water Project, the quality of work done and the speed at which the work is going.

Nkole was speaking at the project site when he paid an inspection visit to ascertain the level of work done on the project.

The Lawmaker who said he was satisfied with the speed at which the work is going, expressed the hope that the April 2021 deadline would be met.

Hon. Nkole thanked the Federal Government through the Ministry of Water Resources for awarding the contract to a competent hand whom he said has all it takes to deliver quality work going by the quality of materials with which they are using.

Earlier, the representative of the contactor told the Lawmaker that 11 kilometers radius have been reticulated out of the 13 kilometers radius the project and assured that his company would deliver on record time.

Rt. Hon Uko Nkole had earlier paid a courtesy call on the traditional ruler of Akanu Ohafia Community, Ezeogo Mba Odo Okereke, the community where the water project is located.

Speaking, Hon. Nkole told the monarch that he was in his Community to inspect the level of work done on the Ohafia Water Project and that since his Akanu Ohafia is hosting the project, he decided to inform him before embarking on the visit.

Nkole used the opportunity to notify him of his his ongoing distribution of educational/ instructional materials to all the public primary schools in his Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency as well as the level of other ongoing Constituency projects he attracted including Arochukwu Ohafia Road, Nmuri bridge among others.

According to him, his duty as their representative is to constantly inform and remind the Federal Government about the project in his Constituency that require their intervention and to ensure that the ones already awarded are completed. He assured the Eze and his cabinet members that he would not relent in doing his bits to attract more people-oriented projects to his Constituency.

Responding, the traditional ruler of Akanu Ohafia, Ezeogo Mba Odo Okereke thanked Hon Nkole for his relentless efforts in making sure that what is due to the Constituency was attracted. Ezeogo Odo Okereke appealed to him to help in bringing back security to Ohafia Communities.

ABIA ONLINE gathered that the Ohafia Water Project, which was built since 1986 under the military era was left moribund until the intervention of Rt Hon Uko Nkole.
