PILOT PHASE: EACH ONE AID ONE FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTES FREE DRUGS TO 50 HEALTH CENTERS (See photos)

Each One Aid One Foundation has recorded 48 Primary Health Centers and two Secondary Health Centers in the pilot phase of their Free Drugs and Hospital Equipment distribution programme in Abia State.

Speaking to Abia Online, the Programmes Coordinator for Each One Aid One Foundation, Mr. Prince Abu said the scheme is a pioneering effort targeted at ensuring all the 772 Health Centers across the State are furnished with Drugs and Hospital Equipment enough to drive adequate medical care delivery, especially to the vulnerable and indigent Abians at the community levels free of charge.

“In addition to the Free Drugs distribution, the Founder of the Foundation, Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor directed us to also access the facilities for other basic challenges and needs in the Health Centers begging for intervention. For instance structures requiring to be repainted, bedding or restructuring of some parts of the facilities etc. Based on this pilot phase assessments, so far the Foundation is planning to build new structures in some of the Health Centers where needed,” he said.

The Programmes Coordinator assured that the Foundation will as well supervise the redistribution of the drugs to the end beneficiaries to ensure the drugs gets to the right people, reiterating that Engr. Nwafor, through the Foundation is poised to put a smile on the faces of the vulnerable segment of Abians.

“Promotion of quality healthcare delivery remains a core objective, amongst others through which the Foundation has continued to enriched the lives of Abians across the boards,” he concluded.
