…making 164 houses built and donated to indigents
Still on her philanthropic trail, the wife of Abia State Governor, Dr. Nkechi Ikpeazu has donated two houses to two widows as part of her humanitarian efforts to shelter homeless indigents in the State.
This donation from Her Excellency, which is in line with her passion project of providing decent housing to indigent women especially widows in Abia State, make it over 164 houses built and given to indigents across Abia State.
Representing the First Lady at the event was Prof. Kate Ndukuba, a member of the Board of Trustees of Vicar Hope Foundation who reiterated her drive of bringing hope to Abians at all levels especially in the area of housing noting that its physiological necessity in the life of every individual.
She decried the spate of housing crises plaguing citizens of the State and the Nation at large and therefore called for urgent attention to the matter.
Recipients of the newly built houses 74-year-old Mrs. Comfort Thomas and 76-year-old Mrs. Margaret Ohude did not relent in thanking the wife of Abia State Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Nkechi Ikpeazu for the kind gesture she showed to them.
They showered prayers of blessing, peace and long life upon the First Lady and her entire family.
Accompanying Her Excellency to the ceremony were the Board of Trustees of Vicar Hope Foundation.
