The CEO/Chairman of Zoros Energy Limited, HRH Eze Ikenna Zoro Nwaigwe has reaffirmed commitment and readiness of the Company to building an Industrial City in Obeaku Ndoki, Ukwa East Council of Abia State.
Speaking to newsmen during the project site inspection, HRH Eze Ikenna Zoro Nwaigwe said that everything is in place to commence and ensure the realisation of the project.
Eze Nwaigwe, who referred to the proposed Industrial City as a ‘Mega City’ project, revealed that the ‘Mega City’, sited on about fifteen thousand hectares of land, will start with dredging of about 30 meters deep from Obeaku to Ikot – Abasi Port for the Deep Seaport and establishment of over ten thousand housing units in first phases, refineries, free trade zone, industrial layout, an energy supply plant that will ensure 24hrs power; eatery centers, shopping malls, including a Police Station to ensure adequate security together with a standard hospital.
He thanked Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu-led administration, Elder Godwin Nna, Abia elder statesman and the project promoter, Hon. Ejike G. Okorie JP, a former commissioner in Abia State Local Government Service Commission, Chief Rotimi Amaechi, Honourable Minister for transportation and the Royal father of the community, HRH Eze Ikeagwughchi Ekeke for their contributions and partnership so far while promising that the project, when completed, will provide over three hundred thousand jobs for the teeming Abia youths, and Nigeria at large.
Also speaking, an Abia elder statesman and the “Mega City” project promoter, Elder Godwin Nna expressed excitement for the progress and job done so far, informing that their foreign partners are ever ready to move in with their engineers once the site is ready. He revealed that Abia, especially Ndoki is secured for any size of investments, iterating that the project’s closeness to the high seas of Rivers State and Akwa Ibom gives it a plus.
He also informed that some Igbo investors in Lagos, Kaduna, Kano and overseas are ever ready to bring their businesses home once a city with such contemporary design is built in the Eastern region.
In his vote of thanks, the traditional ruler of the community, HRH Eze Ikeagwughchi Ekeke, thanked the investors for choosing Obeaku for such a wonderful investment, assuring them of their adequate security and overwhelming hospitality.
