Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has inaugurated the Abia State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Board with Dr. Madu Awa as Chairman.
Inaugurating the Board, the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu said the essence of the inauguration of the Board was to ensure that primary healthcare policies are implemented in the State and charged members of the Board to live up to expectations.
Dr. Ikpeazu said his administration wants to improve life expectancy to average of 60 , hence the Board would be faced with the challenge of achieving such goals . He expressed confidence that the Board would perform well and congratulated the members on their inauguration.
In vote of thanks, the Board Chairman, Dr. Madu Awa thanked the Governor for appointing them and assured that the members would do all within its powers to strengthen primary healthcare in the State.
