2019: UKWA/NGWA CALLED UPON TO SUPPORT GOVERNOR IKPEAZU

A proud son of Ukwa/Ngwa extraction, Ubani Dannie a.k.a Ezemuo has called on his kinsmen to team up and support Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to secure victory in the forthcoming general election.
Ezemuo made the call in a post he made from his Goshen Ville home recently. He said that the issue of governorship in Abia State at present is not a personal fight of Ikpeazu but an Ukwa/Ngwa project, “what is involved isn’t any single individual or Dr. Ikpeazu’s ambition as a person. It is all about a people’s struggle to survive and to be accepted as equal partners in the Abia project”. He maintained that the Ukwa/Ngwa people currently stand on the threshold of history.
According to him “As Ndi Ngwa we sure do not have any other option than to rally round our own and lend him support to succeed. We would have had options if all the three leading parties had conceded their gubernatorial tickets to Ndi Ukwa Ngwa. As we all can see, it is only PDP that considered us, and as a matter of self survival we must have to swim or sink with PDP”.
Ezemuo who noted the fact that democracy is all about the right to make choice, stressed that “in making our individual choices we all should understand that by the reason of whatever choice we finally make, we shall stand accused in the court of posterity”. He reminded the Ukwa/Ngwa people of their socio-political experience as embedded in their history of deprivation, marginalization and servitude, a history he said has been corrected by the PDP led government and urged all to remain resolute in the party.
He observes that though some of the individual expectations may not have been met, the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has done creditably better than all previous regimes, adding that he would have done much better but for the rigors and distractions of protracted litigations and scarce resources which has left exorbitant scares on the State.
Ezemuo, who is equally known as Gbachia Gbachia 1 of Ngwa land and Manja expressed worry that the anti-Ikpeazu sentiment is gathering momentum in the social media as the day goes by but maintains that God of justice will vindicate him as he strives to make Abia great.
