ABIA NEW CP, AGBEDE ASSUMES DUTY

CP Janet Agbede has assumed duties and taken over the responsibilities as the 31st Commissioner of Police and the 1st Female Commissioner of Police in Abia State Police Command.

CP Agbede succeeds CP E. Ene Okon who has been redeployed to Force headquarters, Abuja.

A release endorsed by Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration, DCP Godwin Akoh, said the new Commissioner of Police Abia State Police Command was appointed into the Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1988 and has served in various capacities in the Nigeria Police Force.

According to the release, Agbede is an alumnus of University of Ibadan and has attended various professional courses both home and abroad.

Prior to her deployment to the Abia State Police Command, she was the Commissioner of Police in-charge Welfare Department, Force Headquarters Abuja.

CP Janet Agbede is married with children.
