ALEX OTTI – A COMPLETE IGNORAMUS

Onyebuchi Ememanka

When I heard that Mazi Alex Otti was to be on Channels TV this morning, I got prepared. I wanted to hear him speak. I wanted to listen to the man who wants to unseat Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

I honestly expected a robust and intellectually engaging performance from him, judging from the larger than life image of the man which his aides present to us daily.

But alas, what I saw was a totally mediocre performance. Not only was he incoherent, he could not articulate his policies clearly. He had no sensible alternative plans to what is on ground. He denied practically everything that is on ground in Aba and Abia State.
Perhaps, the worst part of the lack luster performance was his shameless denial of the strides of the Ikpeazu administration in the area of promoting local productive capacity of our people, something that has received both local, national and international acclaim.

Even the Presidency controlled by another political party has not only severally hailed what Ikpeazu has done with MADE IN ABA, the President specifically mentioned it in the budget speech of 2018 while the Vice President has personally visited Aba severally and declared Aba the SME Capital of Nigeria.

Even the guys from Channels TV – Chamberlain Usoh, Nneota Egbe and Gimba Umar were disappointed by Otti’s performance and their disappointments were clearly visible on their faces.

When asked about his alternative plans for power since he said that nothing was on ground, he started blabbing about renewable energy with nothing said about what he plans to do about it.

This man is empty and has nothing to offer. It’s as simple as that!
