Areas visited were the boundary between Abia and Imo State, popularly known as Onuimo as well as the one at Owerrenta.

At Onuimo, the team observed that the border closure was effective with some pockets of people trying to flout it. As has always been the case, Chief ordered some motorist back to where they were coming from while some without a clear-cut explanation of their identities were seized.

At Owerrenta, the team maintained its strict enforcement of the directive by ensuring that no motorist is found on the road.

Many passenger vehicles were either impounded or returned to their stations while individuals found walking around were compelled to wear face masks.

At strategic check points, the team, while leaving strict directives equally distributed hand sanitizers to the officers on duty.

ABIA ONLINE reports that the Abia State Covid-19 Joint Taskforce has been consistent with the enforcement of the lockdown order declared by the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu.
