Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has approved the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council.
The Governor has also approved the immediate recall from suspension of his Chief of Staff, Dr. ACB Agbazuere.
A release signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka, directed all those affected by the dissolution to handover all government properties in their possession, together with their handover notes, to their respective Permanent Secretaries.
The release expresses Governor Ikpeazu’s deep appreciation to these men and women for their services to the people of Abia State, and wishes them well for the future.
However, in a similar development, the Governor has directed that the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr Uche Ihediwa, Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu , and the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jeo Osuji be exempted from the cabinet.
According to a release endorsed by the Secretary to State Government, Barr Chris Ezem, they are to continue performing the duties of their office along with the Secretary to State Government, Barr Chris Ezem.
