The State Government has directed the immediate termination of all revenue agents at the various slaughter houses/control post in the State.
The Honorable Commissioner for Agriculture, Prof. Ikechi Mgbeoji, in a statement personally signed by him directed affected agents to handover all documents and properties of the ministry in their possession to the Director of Veterinary Services in the Ministry of Agriculture.

The release enjoined the general public and butchers at the various slaughter houses and control posts in the State to be guided by the directive as it also called for strict compliance by all concerned agents.
