The Ngwa Patriots Forum, a foremost Ngwa Socio-Cultural Group, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Abia State Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu on his resounding victory at the Supreme court against the APGA candidate, Dr.Alex Chioma Otti, a judgement it described as a land mark decision.
A statement by the Forum signed its President, Chief Uzo Ihuka and the General Secretary, Chief Chibuike Godwin Onyendilefu, expressed the belief that with the decision of Court, every Abia loving citizen would sheath their swords and embrace peace for the love and betterment the state by putting the interest of Abia first before what it called ‘selfish and parochial interest.’
“The Forum also believes that the time has come for every Abian to embrace the new developmental trajectory of Abia which calls for all hands to be on deck to continue to deepen the interest of the greater number of Abians above personal considerations,” The statement said.
The statement further implored the Governor not to be distracted but to remain focussed on his commitment to deliver to Abians the best democratic dividends while also not forgetting to continue to hold out the olive branch as he has always done for all, independent of political leaning to embrace his desire for participatory governance.
