NIGERIA NAVY SETS UP COMMITTEE FOR MADE-IN-ABA PRODUCTS

In line with the several calls by the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for the promotion and patronage of the Made-Aba products, the Nigeria Navy has set up a committee to partner with Abia State government in that regard.
This was disclosed in Umuahia by the new Flag Officer Commanding (F. O. C), Navy Training Command, Lagos, Rear Admiral Obi Ferdinand Offordire, who came on courtesy visit to the State. According to him, what remains is the signing of necessary documents to enable the partnership commence.
The Flag Officer expressed the appreciation of Nigeria Navy for all the support of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to the Navy and promised to continue to assist the State in maintaining security in the State.
Rear Admiral Offordire, who came to Abia State for familiarization visit following his new appointment as Flag Officer Commanding commended further thanked the State government for building a guest house for the Navy, which is now 90% completed.
Responding, the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, appreciated the support of the Navy for the Made-in-Aba products and called for more partnership with Abia State government in the promoting the made-in Aba products.
The Governor, who was represented by the acting Secretary to the State
government, Dr. Vivian Umah, urged the Nigeria Navy to continue to maintain peace and security in the State as well as requested that Abia indigenes be admitted to the Nigeria Navy, Finance & Logistics, Owerinta.
Governor Ikpeazu assured that the State would always support the Navy in its operations in Abia State.
