ABIA READY TO HOST SOUTHEAST ON EASE OF DOING BUSINESS

The lead reform team from the Presidency and World Bank on Ease of Doing Business have arrived Abia state for the southeast regional meetings on Ease of Doing business.
The team was received by the Deputy Governor Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu who doubles as the Chairman of Abia Enabling Business Environment Council.

The team leader Mr Akin-Soji Akinyele Technical Assistant to the President, thanked the government and people of Abia for the huge improvement in Enabling Business environment. He stated that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has become a name associated with efficiency in governance. He also said that the promotion of home grown products effort of the Governor in his made in Aba product promotion drive has received attention from all and sundry. He informed the Deputy Governor that the Abia was chosen to host the regional event due to observed improvements in Abia.
The Two day regional event will commence with a technical session on Ease of Doing business for all the reform champions from the 5 states of the southeast region.
On Wednesday March 7, 2018 business leaders from the southeastern states will gather at Addrex Hotel Opobo road Aba for the stakeholder forum on Ease of Doing business. He maintained that the event will give Abia state a great opportunity to present her reform efforts to the business community and also get feedback to increase efficiency.
