Through Dr.Ikpeazu’s effort, Rural Electrification Agency lighted up hundreds of shops in Ariaria. As I type, hundreds of manufacturers have enjoyed over 5 months uninterrupted power supply.
The target is to connect the entire Ariaria manufacturing cluster, so as to improve production and enjoy economics of scale.
Today, Abia has become the focal area for development. In the area of garment making, shoe making, in fabrication, in brick making etc Abia has provided jobs for thousands of youths including graduates through creation of enabling environment.

At the completion of this project, Ariaria will have a twenty four hour power supply without interruption.
Currently, a pilot project at A Line Ariaria Market has been running since late last year.
